Katelyn Pesut
Katelyn Pesut is a Registered Social Worker who completed Collaborative Divorce Basic Training in April 2026 and is a member of CALM — Collaborative Association of the Lower Mainland. She offers virtual support for collaborative family law matters, with limited availability for in-person services.
Katelyn supports clients with parenting plans, divorce and separation coaching, and family transitions. She brings a practical, trauma-informed, and systems-aware lens shaped by years of work across healthcare, social services, child protection, community supports, and the legal system.
She began her career supporting families impacted by violence, high conflict, and crisis. This included safety planning, service navigation, court preparation, document review, and connection to legal and community supports. That experience shaped her understanding of how overwhelming the family justice system can feel, and how important it is to have the right team in place.
Katelyn has experience supporting families navigating separation, parenting stress, substance use, mental health concerns, chronic illness, neurodiversity, and children with increased support needs, including autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, giftedness, learning differences, and emotional or behavioural challenges. She is LGBTQ2SI+ informed and has many years of experience working alongside people from different cultures, communities, and belief systems, including Indigenous people and communities.
Katelyn works best as part of a team. Her approach is grounded in clear communication, practical planning, advocacy, conflict resolution, and attention to safety, power, accountability, and dignity.
In the collaborative process, Katelyn helps clients stay focused on what matters most and works with the team toward outcomes that are thoughtful, realistic, child-centred, and supportive.
