Regina Case, M.A., R.C.C.

Regina is a family psychotherapist in private practice. In addition, she works for an employee assistance program as a telephone counsellor and is an 'on-call' counsellor for community trauma.

As a Child Specialist and Divorce coach, her current practice offers assistance to couples/families going through various stages of separation and/or divorce. Regina uses a wide variety of therapeutic approaches including psycho-educational mediation tools to assist couples toward an amicable completion of the collaborative process.

Both her personal and professional experiences birthed a growing passion in Regina to help others through their pain and/or trauma. As a parent of four children - the youngest who is a cancer survivor, there were geographical separations and emotional adjustments for the entire family. In her previous career as an educator at both elementary and secondary levels, she experienced the uniqueness of each child bringing to school their own personal story.

Regina trained at the Vancouver Law Courts as a 'Parenting after Separation' (PAS) counsellor/facilitator, sponsored by the BC Attorney General. In addition to her private practice, she worked as a PAS facilitator since its inception from 1997 - 2005.

These group sessions covered topics such as legal options for parents, alternatives to court, separation issues for parents and children, communication strategies for parents attempting to resolved their parenting plan issues and information about community resources.

Regina was also instrumental in referring the Parent Education and Custody Effectiveness (PEACE) education project from Holstra University, New York, which became a part of the BC Handbook for Parents.

She was involved with the Okanagan Collaborative Group and is currently a member of the Collaborative Association in the lower mainland. Regina trained as a Collaborative helping Professional with the Continuing Legal Education Society, Vancouver BC, and completed the Paliser Collaborative Law Training for lawyers and Divorce Coaches in Kelowna, BC.

Regina enjoys close friendships with her adult daughters, writing, dancing, playing tennis, piano and taking walks with her golden retriever.
